hi,

I created some lambda extension functions for enumerables, trees and winforms. Because I just found your project, I had started my own (http://lambdaextensions.codeplex.com/)

as my project is very small, I would be happy to distribute my extensions to your big library. the small project contains extension functions for:
- Tree Traversing extensions (for example TreeView Nodes, but also user defined tree structures)
- List & Enumerable Synchronization (IList and IEnumerable Syncinc via lambda function, for example syncing the ListViewItems list with a user defined enumerable)
- Background operations, a dialog field with a progress bar for the time consuming processing of a list

Comments: First, I'm going to close this because this isn't really an issue (probably should be under discussions). But second, I do accept pull requests. So you should be able to fork the code and make changes. That being said, since you're project is using MS-PL for the license, I would need to check how that would effect things (luckily I have free legal support that I can hit up).

Hi this work is wonderful but I'm unable to get the application working due to your changes and moving them in to extensions.

For example
=Utilities.Web.HTML.AbsoluteRoot+"Cisco/"
the HTML class no longer exists and is now an extension method

I have had no exposure to MVC unfortunately, i have done some searching to try and figure it out.

I have imported <%@ Import Namespace="Utilities.Web.ExtensionMethods" %>
and changed the line to

System.Web.HttpContext.Current.AbsoluteRoot+"Cisco/"

but it tells me the AbsoluteRoot is an unknown member.

yet in code behind I can add the using statement and
System.Web.HttpContext.Current.AbsoluteRoot(); and is fine.

Utilities.IO.ExtensionMethods.ToXML in SerializationExtensions.cs line 156 is missing the EncodingUsing in the Save function.
Comments: Fixed in latest push to source control.

Comments: Good catch. I'll push up a fix tonight (looks like ToSOAP and ToJSON have the same issue so I'll fix those also).

Create a DateTime extension method that calculates the diff between two Dates expressed in Year+Month+Day+Hour+Minute+Second.
Could also be used to calculate a person's age (DateTime.Now - DateOfBirth).

Comments: Added the extension methods for TimeSpan and added functions to DateSpan class to basically accomplish this.

Comments: This is covered by the Subtract method on DateTime class: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/8ysw4sby.aspx The Subtract method returns a TimeSpan object that shows the difference. However the TimeSpan object doesn't have an easy Months or Years properties (but it can be calculated by the Days property). This might be better as additions to the DateSpan class and extensions to the TimeSpan class...

I receive the following error when attempting add a file that is 0 bytes. I need the 0 byte file added to the Zip file. I do not get this error when using AddFolder Function.

WindowsBase : System.IO.FileFormatException
Archive file cannot be size 0.

The Utilities.Media.Sound.SpeechToText class has a .Speak method and the Utilities.Media.Sound.TextToSpeech class has a .Recognise method

These seem to be the wrong way around

Comments: I'm removing support for text to speech and speech to text. I don't use the functionality any more and have no plans to update it.
